One-off customized 1969 Ford F100 pickup truck

Pick of the Day is this customized 1969 Ford F100 pickup truck

Like it or hate it, but you likely won’t be ambiguous about the Pick of the Day, a customized 1969 Ford F100 being offered for sale on by a dealer in Nashville, Tennessee.

The dealer’s description starts with the truck’s mechanical transformation, and it’s impressive, but the first thing you notice isn’t what’s under the hood but the fact this truck doesn’t look like any other you’ve likely ever seen.

The top has been chopped and the backlight has been replaced by an old-fashioned oval piece of glass. Various exterior features have been frenched. Although the advertisement doesn’t state it, the grille and canted headlamps appear to have come from a 1960 Lincoln Continental.

The ad points out that the exterior is done in an off-white base with blue/green pearl and violet ghost flames that are so subtle they really don’t show up in the multitude of photos included in the online display.

The dealer notes that inside the cabin, you’ll find “everything inside has been modified, moved, replace or customized” with power windows and locks, a tilt steering wheel, keyless entry, bucket seats and anti-theft system. The truck also has power disc brakes and power steering, and performance radial tires on alloy wheels.

Those performance tires are needed because the truck has a built 460cid V8 punched out .030 over and with Lunati cam and lifters, 543 lift/280 duration Milodon double-roller timing chain, heavy-duty valvetrain components and chrome-moly push rods, among other “goodies.”

Power goes through a built Ford C-6 automatic transmission to a posi-traction 3:25 rear end.

“Driving this truck, you will not feel like you are in a 51-year-old truck, you will think ‘wow, this feels like a new truck’,” the dealer says. “You will not be wrong.”
