While we’re being asked to practice physical distancing and stay home, that doesn’t mean we’re bored. Like author Dave Pezler said, “something good comes out of every crisis.”
Like this post, for example. We asked our readers via social media to share their rides along with a positive note to the MotorTrend community. We received dozens of videos from all over the country, with users letting us enter their garages to get a sneak peek at their sweet rides. From off-roaders to vans and hot rods, users shared with us the love they have for their cars and all things automotive.
One of our favorites in the group has to be Graham Simon’s 1989 Volkswagen Vanagon. With its rad, retro design and tons of room inside to camp, the Vanagon might be a perfect ride to have when you can go out but you can’t go somewhere crowded. But the stars of the show are Simon’s daughters, who made the cutest presentation of the VW. We can’t wait to hear about all their future camping adventures and road trips!
YouTuber Jason Lewis from AutoEdits shared his car collection from his driveway. We’re not sure if we’d go for his tuned Jeep Wrangler or for his pristine 1965 Corvette Sting Ray, which has more than 500,000 miles on the odometer. Either way, he made a good show of representing Roadkill while being accompanied by Pinto the dog.
The Honda S2000 is one car we miss a lot, and wish was still being built, and Frank Lee has one of the coolest S2000s we’ve seen. Judging by the looks of his 2004, it’s far from stock and whether the folks at Global Time Attack had something to with it or not, we love the color, the red racing seatbelts, and the presence that it has on the road.
There are many more cool rides, including the 1969 Dodge Polara owned by Automobile‘s Aaron Gold. Head into the clip to check them all out.
