Mindt will take up his new submit at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England, on March 1, main a workforce of about 50 designers. He’ll report back to Matthias Rabe, Bentley’s head of engineering.

Bentley will use VW Group’s PPE premium electric architecture, engineered by Audi, beginning in 2025, giving Mindt a head begin in creating Bentley’s first full-electric mannequin, due mid-decade. Bentley has mentioned it could drop internal combustion engines from its cars by 2030.

Bentley’s first EV will use know-how from a flagship luxurious EV code-named Landjet being developed as a part of the Artemis project for the Audi, Porsche and Bentley manufacturers.

Media experiences say Mindt’s predecessor, Sielaff, has joined Geely Group, taking on Peter Horbury’s function as head of design. Geely didn’t verify the appointment, saying that Horbury stays senior vp of design for the group.
